Week 4 Lifting and Conditioning
This week the team has increased their weights about 20 lbs. on a lot of their lifts since numerous reps have been dropped on each set. As players keep progressing in the workout their max reps have increased amounts from 5 to 15 lbs. Some barbell lifts have been added to isolate muscles individually working a lot of the same areas as they core lifts of the workout. With conditioning players are running longer sprints with more rest to increase stamina and endurance. Speed and agility is the same dynamic stretching with a few new added stretches and cone drills.

Week 3 Lifting and Conditioning
The second week of Clyde's lifting program is similar to the first, as players are still becoming adjusted to the workouts. Lifts included within the workout are hang clean, power clean, bench press, squat, plyometrics, and rows. Players are encouraged to increase their weights to further push themselves. Conditioning is still cardio based but is less long distance runs and more quick sprints. With multiple short sprints ran with timed rest players are still getting heavy cardio work. During the speed and agility sessions players are continuing to perform a dynamic stretching to increase their running forms and muscle flexion for a better stance. Next week players will slightly change their sets and reps to continually increase muscular strength.

Week 2 Lifting and Conditioning
This was the first week of Clyde's summer training program. The first goal of the workout is to strengthen the core of the players.Workouts are divided between positions bigger athletes are given more reps and sets of power lifts like hang cleans to further increase their cores. Skill athletes are given more reps in explosive and speed lifts such as power cleans. The conditioning as of now is cardio based, to increase the stamina of the players before beginning more enduring cycles of runs. Also on alternating days players will be working various speed and agility workouts. Sessions include multiple dynamic stretches and cone drills to teach proper running.

Week One
During my first visit to Clyde Ohio I participated in the coaching of the Clyde Fliers high school varsity football team at their first camp for the upcoming 2011 season. The camp purpose was to install basic offensive and defensive schemes and plays. During the camp I coached with the offensive line staff helping the players with proper stance and starts, first steps, pulling, and hand placement. The players got a chance to run through multiple drills and instruction before getting to scrimmage and run the plays inserted. Starting soon after school players will begin their summer workouts and conditioning preparing for another predominate season.

Hello my name is Aace Johnson a senior at Tiffin University. I am working my internship with the dominating Clyde Fliers. During the course of the summer I will be frequently posting information on my experiences. I hope to gain a great deal of knowledge from my former head coach Marc Gibson at his new program that he has been very successful with over the past four years winning the Sandusky Bay Conference (SBC) consecutively. If you happen to read my post i hope you enjoy and thank you for reading.
